The Bombesin peptide is a synthetic peptide that has the amino acid sequence:

The 14mer peptide hormon, originally isolated from the skin of the European fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina) stimulates gastrin release from G cells and activates three different G-protein-coupled receptors. Bombesin is also recognized as a marker for several malign tumors.
